The FTL31 is an economical‚ low-maintenance solution for measuring fluid levels in pipe‚ storage tanks‚ tanks with agitators‚ and more. The universal design and 1/2"-NPT threaded process connection ensure easy installation‚ no matter the position. It's a perfect replacement for float switches and conductive‚ capacitive or optical sensors. It's also great where traditional measuring methods aren't suitable due to conductivity‚ build-ups‚ turbulence‚ liquid flow or air bubbles.

The FTL31's unique vibronic design uses a tuning fork that vibrates at a given frequency when not in contact with liquid. Once the fork makes contact with liquid‚ its frequency changes‚ which actuates an electronic switch. Switch status and basic troubleshooting are simple thanks to external LED indicators. Manipulate switch actuation with an external test magnet (user-supplied).

Wire the FTL31 in one of two configurations based on your specific application. MAX operating mode keeps the electronic switch closed as long as the liquid level is below the tuning fork. This is ideal for preventing pumps from overfilling tanks. MIN operating mode keeps the electronic switch closed when the fork is immersed in the liquid. This is perfect for avoiding costly pump damage caused by dry or empty pipe conditions.

Note: Not for use with direct pump operation. A contactor or relay is recommended for pump switching (order separately below‚ or see pages 000 & 000-000 for our complete selection).
