Use AML locators to detect hard-to-find objects faster and more accurately than with traditional pipe and cable locators. These advanced microprocessor-based units use ultra-high microwave frequency to locate virtually any subsurface material, including plastic, metal, wood, cable and pipe. Unlike GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) systems, these locators work great in clay, dry/wet soil and standing water, without the need for a separate transmitter and receiver, wires, clips or clamps.
AML locators work by transmitting a powerful 2.45-GHz ground-penetrating frequency. Highly sensitive left/right receivers then intercept frequency reflections and refractions set off by target edges. Audible alarm and visual indicators alert you to the target's location and position.
AML Plus locators feature nine sensitivity settings and LED indicator lights. Locator also features a USB port for transferring usage data, downloading software updates, and performing diagnostics and calibration. Comes complete with two standard 9V battery packs and a Li-Ion battery pack. The external rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack provides up to 25 hours of additional usage, while allowing you to charge your cell phone—all without discharging the main battery pack.
Includes: two standard 9V battery packs, a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack with charging accessories, KOSS headphones, foam-insulated hard-shell carrying case, user guide and training video. 3-year warranty.
