Unique double O-ring stem design features an upper O-ring groove deeper than the lower O-ring groove. Should the stem break, it will do so at the upper groove, leaving the lower O-ring to prevent leakage. Vent hole models are available in sizes from 1/2" through 1" with a 1/8" vent hole to prevent excessive gas pressure from developing between the ball and the valve body, great in applications with high chlorine.
An Asahi motorized actuator can be added at any time without removing the valve from the line. Simply remove the handle and attach the actuator. The removable handle also serves as a convenient tool to adjust the PTFE seat pressure against the ball if desired.
