These starter boxes provide a reliable means of controlling 208-, 240- or 480-VAC 3-phase motors in water, wastewater and sewage applications. Starters utilize a control switch to activate a magnetic motor contactor that turns the motor on and off. Their adjustable overload allows for easy alteration of the overload current. Common applications include pump chambers, sump pump basins, irrigation systems, lift stations and air compressor systems.
Panels feature a NEMA 4X enclosure with UV-stabilized thermoplastic construction for indoor or outdoor use, as well as removable feet for installation flexibility. Panels also have a hand switch for manual pump control, a magnetic motor contactor that controls the pump by switching electrical lines, a terminal block (motor start) and a ground lug. 208- and 240-VAC models feature a control breaker. 480-VAC models feature an incoming power terminal block and a multi-tap transformer for fused 120-VAC control voltage.
