These lightweight, fabricated wye-pattern strainers are designed to remove dirt and other debris from water lines. They are especially well suited for use with flanged backflow preventers.
A simple cover with EPDM seal and coupling permits easy removal of the stainless steel strainer for cleaning and replacement. Covers feature a brass plug that can be removed to install a blow-off valve if desired. The 304 SS strainer body with zinc-plated carbon steel flanges offers lead-free construction that complies with California Prop. 65 and proposed Federal Government lead-free standards.
All sizes under 6" have epoxy coated ductile iron covers and 304 SS screens with 1/16" perforations. Sizes 6" and larger have stainless steel covers and screens with 1/8" perforations. Larger sizes through 12" are available; call USABlueBook for details.
