Avoid down-line service shutoffs, expensive excavation and service interruptions. The Gator-Grip Gate Key grips and turns worn, rusted, or damaged 2" square valve nuts on buried valves. Eliminating just one dig will easily pay for the tool.
The Gator-Grip socket features telescoping stainless steel rods that adjust to conform to the actual physical shape of the nut, and grip tightly as the valve wrench is turned. The Gator-Grip features a stainless steel socket body and spring-loaded pins, and easily withstands more than 1000 ft. lbs of applied torque.
A 4 to 7-ft extendable T-handle is included with every Gator-Grip socket, along with a standard 1" square (M) x 1.35" ID round adapter. Use the adapter with the included T-handle, or with a pre-owned 1-1/4" round T-handle valve key. To do so, simply cut off the square end of the valve key, drill two holes, and attach adapter with two bolts (included).
To mount Gator-Grip to standard 2" valve wrenches without cutting or drilling, order the optional gate wrench adapter (stock # 47657). Its quick-release locking pin attaches the Gator-Grip to standard gate wrench sockets under 4-1/4" in length and with at least 3/8" clearance in the dirt relief port above the socket.
