Use the striking head probe to break through tightly packed or frozen soil. Their 2-inch wide heat-treated hex head sits in the center of the handle and is designed for striking with a heavy hammer. The probe features durable vinyl cushion grips and a threaded shaft connection recessed in the striking head. This provides a firm connection between the probe head and rod transition point. Penetration and withdrawal are easy with the heat-treated alloy tips' tapered edges.
Solid steel handles are 11" wide x 1" diameter. Heavy-duty 1/2" diameter shaft.
