If your plant doesn't have a permanently installed overhead crane, mobile crane or forklift, pulling a pump, valve or blower from a confined space can be a real challenge. This portable aluminum gantry crane gives you overhead lifting capability just about anywhere you need it. Pull-pin assembly lets you quickly knock it down for one-man transport through narrow doorways, openings and aisles. At the jobsite, two men can reassemble the gantry crane in 5 to 10 minutes, attach a hoist and lift the load safely and securely.
Corrosion-resistant aluminum construction is lightweight yet rigid, and suitable for use outdoors as well as indoors. Choose from two types of swivel casters. 8" four-position phenolic swivel casters are the standard choice; 12" x 3-1/2" pneumatic casters are ideal for use on rough terrain. (Note: pneumatic tire capacity is 1500 lbs.) I-beam height is adjustable within the ranges noted below.
USABlueBook offers everything you need to complete your system, including trolleys, beam clamps and chain hoists. Choose from three types of trolleys. All feature steel construction with painted finish and rollers with sealed bearings. The Quick-Install Trolley features a manual adjusting screw with locking collar for simple width adjustment. The Eye-Adjust Trolley is adjusted by turning center screw with eye, giving maximum flexibility for use with different I-beam flange widths. The Geared Eye-Adjust Trolley, with continuous chain, is the choice for heavy loads and precise control of the trolley position while lifting and lowering a load. All trolleys are suitable for S, H, W and M-type I-beams.
Fixed beam clamps are used as a fixed-position lifting point for an overhead hoist and have a manual locking screw mechanism. Hand chain hoists have a design safety factor of 4 times rated capacity, very low headroom and important structural features including Grade 80 lifting chain, galvanized pull chain, double ratchet pawls with self-adjusting disk brake, hardened 2-stage gears and hardened pinions supporting roller bearing sheaves. Hoists meet ASME/ANSI B30.16 requirements.
