This unit will locate magnetic objects but also contains a signal strength/polarity meter as well as an interior selector switch for two audio modes. One position provides a fixed frequency with volume that peaks over the target. The other maintains a constant audio signal, but the frequency varies and peaks over the target. One external control knob performs three functions: on/off, sensitivity adjustment and battery test. Uses two 9V alkaline batteries (included). Overall length is 34-1/2" (lower 21" is waterproof). Weighs 2-1/2 lbs.
