These Corning stirrers and hot plates feature a PyroCeram glass/ceramic top that provides uniform heating and good contrast during titration color changes. Microprocessor-controlled electronics maintain consistent stir speeds and temperature settings.
A built-in spill trough directs spills away from control knobs and electronics. The sealed electronics are protected from harsh environments. As an additional safety feature, an LED icon illuminates when the top plate is above 60°C—even when the heat control has been turned off.
Stirrers and Stirring Hot Plates feature a closed-loop rpm control that monitors and regulates stirring speed. The motor speed automatically adjusts to compensate for more viscous fluids. A powerful magnet improves stir bar coupling, and automatic adjustment to large increases in speed prevents stir bar de-coupling. The display indicates temperature or stir speed. Maximum stirring load for stirrers and stirring hot plates is 75 lbs (10" x 10").
Hot Plates feature a temperature display that is adjustable in five-degree increments and that indicates when a set temperature is reached.
Includes: a built-in mount that accepts a 5/16" rod for 5" x 7" models and a 7/16" rod for all 10" x 10" models. Hot Plate and Stirrer Accessory Kit includes a temperature probe for hot plates and support rods for all units.
