Product Details
  • Provides electrical isolation of lift station floats or probes from pump controllers to which they are connected
  • Models for simplex and duplex pump controllers

Relays are mounted between pump controller and float switches. 24 VAC or VDC power supply (1.5 W) is required. Signals from the level switch or probe circuits actuate internal 5A relays which connect to the pump controller. Use relays with voltages up to 250 VAC which are isolated from the circuit going to the float switches. The ISR serves as a safety barrier between the two circuits.

Built-in de-bounce time delays reduce or eliminate unwanted chattering that may occur in each switch's transition phase. The 2-channel ISR has a 0.5-second delay and the latching ISR has a 1-second delay. Input and output status LED's provides a visual indicator of current switch operation. The 2-channel model has two output LED indicators and one power on indicator. The latching ISR has two input and one output LED.

Two models are available. Use ISR with a SPDT latching relay for single pump operation using two float switches. One switch turns on and latches until the second switch unlatches to turn off. Use NO switches for pump-down; NC switches for pump up. Use 2-channel ISR for duplex pump operations. Two float switches independently actuate two SPST relays, which are wired to the pump controller. If you need a third circuit for a high-level alarm, order a second 2-channel IRL and use one of the two channels.

ISRs are intrinsically safe for Class 1, Division 1, Groups A, B, C & D. Relay must be mounted in a suitable enclosure situated in a non-hazardous area. Maximum distance between the relay input and switch is 1000 ft.

Note: If you have a lift station with a 12V battery-operated high-level alarm system, we can supply 12V IRLs on special order.
