Lovejoy™ Jaw Coupling Insert, L090/L095
Description
Lovejoy™ jaw couplings provide high capacity per dollar and have been used successfully for years in treatment plants worldwide. Bodies are either sintered iron or cast iron depending on the size. Spider inserts are made of Buna-N, which is oil resistant and resilient. This type of coupling can compensate for 1 degree of angular misalignment and 0.015" of parallel offset. To assure long life, pay particular attention to proper alignment during installation.
The Lovejoy coupling selections below provide a nominal 1.5 service factor, suitable for most water and wastewater plant applications, including water pumps, blowers and gear reducers. Select the appropriate coupling series from this chart.
Coupling halves of each series are available in bore sizes within the ranges listed, in 1/16" increments with standard size keyways, which are listed on this page. If you are replacing a very old coupling, confirm that your keyway is standard. If it is not, call our Tech Department for help. Pilot bore couplings without a keyway and metric bore couplings are also available. A complete coupling consists of two coupling halves and one insert.
