Seatless, tight shutoff design provides positive sealing against valve body at low airflow and with minimum backpressure required (0.5 psi). When closed, the valve plates seal without pinching the silicone elastomer, thus avoiding cutting the seal material in the hinge area. When open, the valve plates rest against a Teflon®-coated pin that prevents the plates from fluttering. There are no metal-to-metal rotating points and no seats to wear. Silicone seals with aluminum backing plates are rated for up to 500°F and are reinforced with fiberglass for added strength and tear resistance. Choose from threaded aluminum, cast iron wafer or flanged steel valves. All aluminum and steel bodies feature a durable painted surface. Replacement repair kits fit all three styles.
