This handheld meter features both electrochemical and optical measurement capabilities, allowing you to measure pH/ORP, free & total chlorine, conductivity, PTSA and temperature with a single instrument.
The wireless pH/ORP sensor module is separate from the main unit and sends results to the meter via Bluetooth, which keeps the conductivity/PTSA cell free of potassium chloride contamination. Module replacement is easy since there's no need to open the meter enclosure. For free and total chlorine measurements, the meter uses EPA-accepted tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) chemistry. Simply add 3 drops of reagent (sold separately below) to the sample chamber—no powders or vials required. PTSA measurement uses custom signal processing algorithms to compensate for color/turbidity, so it can deliver results with an accuracy of ±1 ppb. If color/turbidity is too high to get a reliable reading, an alert lets you know to filter your sample before measuring.
When your measurement is complete/stable, the "Lock In" function changes the display background to blue. Meter performs self-diagnostics on sensors at calibration to help you keep up on maintenance. It stores up to 8 GB of historical data, including time/date stamp and sample location information. For analysis and recordkeeping, you can send data to your smartphone using the uPyxis® app, or to your PC using the included Bluetooth adapter. Long battery life allows for more than 10,000 readings. The rugged IP67 housing is waterproof and dustproof, and features a body bump guard for extra protection.
