Kunkle 171S SS Pressure Relief Valve, 1.25", 171S-F01-MG
Description
- All 316 SS construction complies with Safe Drinking Water Act
- Ideal for overpressure relief and protection of pumps, tanks and lines
Kunkle 171S valves relieve excess pressure from service lines and tanks while pumps are running continuously. 316 SS construction makes them highly corrosion resistant, and an ideal choice for potable water applications. Every valve is configured to your desired set pressure, then tested and inspected by an authorized ASME valve shop. Valves are rated to 400 psi and 550°F.
Note: When ordering, please specify desired pressure setting from 1 to 400 psi. When the relief setting is close to system operating pressure, these direct spring action valves may discharge a small amount of water. For no leakage, a minimum of 10 psi differential is recommended between system pressure and valve setting. For example, if your system pressure is normally 60 psi, order a valve with a minimum setting of 70 psi. These valves are non-code liquid relief valves only.
Important: Because these valves are custom set to your application, they are non-returnable for any reason other than manufacturer defect. If you need to change the pressure range, the valve can be reset by USABlueBook or an ASME valve shop for an additional fee. Contact USABlueBook for more information.
- gpm at 50 psi: 44 (shown at 25% overpressure)
- gpm at 100 psi: 62 (shown at 25% overpressure)
- gpm at 150 psi: 76 (shown at 25% overpressure)
