Hach prepared media eliminate the measuring, mixing, and autoclaving needed when preparing dehydrated media. Ampoules are designed with large openings that allow media to pour out easily. Each ampoule contains enough media for one test. Select the media type that is appropriate for detecting total coliform, fecal coliform or E. coli. Colonies that grow on presumptive media may need to be confirmed to meet reporting regulations.
m-TEC is used for isolating, detecting and enumerating E. coli from water by membrane filtration. Modified m-TEC is used selectively to detect E. coli in water by colony color changes (red or magenta).
All items require refrigeration upon receipt.
