Griffco pressure relief valves protect people and equipment from pressure damage caused by defective equipment or blockages in chemical feed lines. They come preset at 50 psi with adjustable maximum pressure settings.
Valves feature an integrated pressure switch, which alerts you to events that trigger pressure relief. The switch is installed in an instrument isolator mounted to the bottom of the valve, and is adjustable from 15 to 60 psi. Units with switch ranges of 40 to 150 psi are also available; contact USABlueBook for details.
Note: For the best performance, install the valve as close to the pump as possible and pipe the return line back to the source or suction line. Other valve sizes and materials are available; contact USABlueBook for more information.
Valves are suitable for use with aluminum sulfate (alum), ammonium chloride, ammonium hydroxide, ammonium sulfate, calcium hypochlorite, ferric sulfate, hydrochloric acid, magnesium hydroxide, potassium permanganate, sodium bisulfate, sodium hypochlorite, sodium phosphate and 95% sulfuric acid. Call for compatibility with other chemicals.
Wetted materials: PVC body, PTFE/EPDM diaphragm.
